I virkeligheden kan man næppe forhindre aktiviteter over nettet.

How Armed Civilians Have Helped Stop School Massacres
December 18, 2012
By Daniel Greenfield
The Texas tower sniper shootings were the deadliest campus killing spree until the Virginia Tech massacre. What is often forgotten is that along with the three Austin police officers who entered the tower that the sniper was operating from, was Allen Crum, the floor manager at the University Co-op, who helped clear the sidewalk, save a young boy, and then borrowing a rifle from a Texas Department of Public Safety officer, volunteered to go with them into the tower and helped the officers take the shooter down.
It is sometimes difficult for me to understand Americans. After each tragic school shooting we are told that the guns are not the problem. Guns are not dangerous. Then I watch an American TV show and notice that every f-word is replaced by a loud "beep". Aha, guns are not dangerous but words are.
Well spoken Erik Seifert....We are so fuld of ourself here in DK and believe we know best...going for teightning gunlaws is week politicians way of pretending that they are doing something about a very complex situation not knowing wether it works or not...populism at its worst and is just what the let in US has been pusling for years.
Shame on danish medias backslapping to these people!
Today the first two victims were buried in Newtown, Connecticut. Jack Pinto and Noah Pozner were both 6 years old. More young children and adults will follow in the days to come.
Although an unspeakable tragedy that should and will force much introspection and discussion regarding many aspects of American culture, I do believe that there are a few things that we don't need - not until the families of the victims have been shown the respect of being allowed to bury their loved ones in peaceful settings.
In that spirit I have turned off my TV - it was just too much. So until appropriate respect has been accorded the victims' families:
1. We don't need all the well-intentioned posts from foreigners telling America what to do. Listen, I understand where you all are coming from and that you are voicing your opinions out of concern, maybe even love, for America. But this country has a unique set of circumstances. And just because something works in some other country, it doesn't automatically work here.
2. We don't need left-wing politicians' trying to (in their own words) "exploit this situation" by arguing to ban guns - even before anyone really knew or understood what happened.
3. We don't need right-wing politicians' trying to overrun the Constitution by arguing that this tragedy and others wouldn't have happened if only THEIR particular brand of Christianity/Judaism/Islam/Buddhism or even atheism were taught in public schools.
4. We don't need all kinds of folks' arguing for locking up the mentally ill.
5. We don't need to call for a ban on all violence in movies, books, computer games, and other media.
6. We don't need to demonize the media for elevating these mentally ill or unstable killers to reality show celebrity status.
Once we have again found our common peace, we could do with an open discussion of the above items, or maybe rather a discussion of how they interact to produce such gruesome outcomes and what we can do to prevent them.

Svært at forstå...

Komplekst problem - mit besyv fra den 17. december 2012

Sounds like a recipe for maintaining status quo.
To me now looks like exactly the right time to act, for americans that is, should they so decide.
